Donald Trump now worth $3.2 billion – Forbes unveils

According to Forbes, Donald Trump’s net worth has increased since he left office.

The former president’s net worth was estimated by the outlet to be $3.2 billion, $700 million greater than it was in September 2021. It’s the most Trump has been worth since he became president.

His value was estimated by Forbes to be $3.7 billion in 2016, but it declined by more than a billion dollars in 2020 and 2021, when the COVID-19 pandemic had an effect on the world economy.

Trump regains his place at number 343 on the prestigious Forbes 400 list thanks to the September 2022 figure.

For the first time in 25 years, Donald Trump was pushed off the list last year.

The information comes one week after the state of New York charged him, his three eldest children, and their real estate business for allegedly engaging in fraudulent business activities.

Letitia James, the attorney general of New York, charged the Trump Organization and its four family officials with intentionally fabricating false financial statements in order to inflate property values by billions and secure beneficial contracts.

For instance, his Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida was estimated to be worth a whopping $739 million. According to James’ office, it ought to have been valued at $75 million.

Trump was charged by James with increasing the size of his Manhattan penthouse by three times and overvaluing it by around $330 million.

“To this date, no other apartment in New York City has ever sold for that much,” the prosecutor said.

The Hollywood Reporter claims that 220 Central Park South holds the record for the most expensive home purchase in New York City. A hedge fund billionaire paid $238 million for a four-level penthouse there in 2019.

Real estate makes up the majority of Trump’s 2022 net worth. His real estate alone in New York City is believed to be worth $880 million.

His assets outside of New York City are believed to be worth $290 million, and his clubs and resorts are worth $740 million.

Trump’s social media and brand business accounts for $790 million of his total net worth.

The former president ventured into the social media c-suite earlier this year with the launch of his own platform, Truth Social. He created it after being banned by Facebook and Twitter following last year’s attack on the US Capitol.

According to Forbes, the company that supports it, Trump Media & Technology Group, is his “single most valuable asset.” It is worth $730 million.

The source estimates that he owns 80% of the company.
