Few things in superhero lore are as exciting as witnessing an old favorite assume the costume of a cherished character once more.

And viewers will see much more of Michael Keaton as Batman in the newest and last teaser for “The Flash,” reprising the role he previously performed in 1992’s Tim Burton blockbuster “Batman Returns.”

The trailer is just as good as the first one, giving us even more of Michael Keaton’s Batman and plenty of action, emotional beats, and even a few hints about how it might upend the entire DC Extended Universe going forward.

Bruce Wayne, played by Keaton, tells Ezra Miller’s Barry Allen in the first scene of the forthcoming DC/Warner Bros. movie’s promotional commercial that debuted on Tuesday at CinemaCon in Las Vegas that the grief of losing his parents “made me who I am.”

“I spent a lifetime trying to right the wrongs of the past, as if fighting crime would bring my parents back,” Keaton’s Wayne says in the trailer, as beguiling glimpses of his Batcave are shown.

Then he says to Allen, “You actually did it,” making reference to the plot of the new movie, The Flash, in which Miller’s heroic character travels back in time to save his own parents but eventually “broke the universe.”

The Supergirl actor Sasha Calle and Michael Shannon’s recurring villain General Zod are both featured in the trailer in additional encounters. (Shannon last played the extraterrestrial baddie in 2016’s “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.”)

In one of the trailer’s more thrilling scenes, Keaton is shown neck-down in his recognizable Batsuit, complete with the famous black-and-yellow Batman logo, and heard uttering dialogue that was last heard in the groundbreaking “Batman” movie from 1989, when he faced off against Jack Nicholson’s evil and zany Joker:

“You wanna get nuts? Let’s get nuts.”

“The Flash” premieres in theaters on June 16.
