Award-winning movie producers, Funke Akindele, Ayo Makun, Mo Abudu are at the top of the list of Nigeria’s highest-grossing movie producers.
In a list compiled by Tip Charts Africa, Mo Abudu, Funke Akindele, and Ayo Makun were said to have grossed over N1 billion in movie.
With N1.59 billion, Mo Abudu tops the list. Funke Akindele, an actress and film producer, is not far behind with N1.33 billion. Third on the list with N1.25 billion is comedian Ayo Makun.
Joining them on the list is Jade Osiberu with N707 million and Toyin Abraham with N564 million.
The chart also includes the top-grossing Nollywood films of all time, with Omo Ghetto The Saga by Funke Akindele at the top.
Mo Abudu’s The Wedding Party, The Wedding Party 2, Chief Daddy, and Your Excellency came out 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 10th.
Ayo Makun’s Christmas In Miami, Merry Men 1, and Merry Men 3 were 6,8, and 9 on the list.
Ayo Makun shared the wonderful news on his Instagram page and expressed his happiness being crowned among women of calibre.
Being the best and having amazing shows or movies, according to the movie star, are both choices.
He added that in showbiz, it’s either you win awards or make money in the business.
