On Saturday, the Eko Hotels in Lagos State hosted the ninth edition of the Africa Movie Viewers Choice Awards (AMVCA).
IK Osakioduwa and former Miss Universe Zozibini Tunzi served as the hosts.
Osas Ighodaro, a Nigerian actress, took home the Best Actress in Drama award, while three other Big Brother housemates also made significant gains.
Elozonam won the category for best online social content, Tobi Bakre received best actor in a drama, and Diane Russet took home the prize for best original drama series.
Patience Ozokwo, a veteran actress, has received the 2023 Industry Merit award.
The influencer Enioluwa Adeoluwa received the AMVCA Best Dressed award for the year (Male), while former BBNaija housemate Beauty Tukura got the award for the year’s (Female).
Anikulapo was also awarded Best Overall Movie in Africa.
