Chidinma Anita Chukwudum, 16, moved from Lagos to Abuja to meet a Facebook buddy who promised to send her to Germany, but she has since gone missing.
According to reports, the young girl traveled from her home in Festac Town, Lagos, to Abuja to meet her alleged helper, who she believed would take her to Germany.
Anita’s mother, Mrs. Uche Chukwudum, reportedly stated that her daughter was last seen on September 18, 2022.
Anita had just graduated secondary school this year, took the JAMB exam, and is currently awaiting admission to Lagos State University LASU, according to her mother. She claimed that on Sunday, her daughter packed her suitcase secretly and left home for Abuja.
Anita had been communicating with a person via Facebook who offered to take her to Germany in search of greener pastures, according to Mrs. Chukwudum.
The person she had been speaking with on Facebook then convinced her to pack her bags and move to Abuja, where they agreed to organize her travel documents so she could depart for Germany.
The devastated mother claimed that Chidinma left a note stating that she had left and would endeavor to make her family proud.
According to Mrs. Chukwudum, Anita’s sister was able to access her Facebook account and witnessed every conversation she had with the individual in Abuja. The incident, according to her, has been reported to the police.
