From Brad Pitt to Jane Fonda: Hollywood stars supporting the actors’ strike one month in

It’s the first time in 63 years that members of SAG-AFTRA (the Screen Actors Guild – American Federation of Television and Radio Artists) and the WGA (the Writers Guild of America) have gone on strike at the same time.

The actors’ strike – which has effectively shut down Hollywood’s renowned film and TV industry – has now reached its one-month mark.

SAG-AFTRA (the Screen Actors Guild – American Federation of Television and Radio Artists) members began striking on July 14, joining WGA (the Writers Guild of America) members who recently marked 100 days of picketing.

It is the first time in 63 years that both organizations, which have comparable worries about wages and the use of artificial intelligence (AI), have gone on strike at the same time.

And it’s not just American productions that are feeling the pinch. Filming on a Formula One movie starring Brad Pitt, as well as Deadpool 3 and the musical feature Wicked, has been halted in the United Kingdom.

Here are several A-list celebrities who have joined picket lines in Los Angeles and New York.
