Blockbuster Bliss: Must-Watch Nollywood Movies Heating Up July 2023

The first half of the year has brought a handful of entertaining Nollywood movies and July promises much more.

Afriqpulsetv has put together a list of Nollywood movies to look out for in July 2023 and their release date.

1. Love, Lust and Other Things (July 7th)

Love Lust and Other Things, a romantic film directed by Kayode Kasum, follows a newly divorced woman as she embarks on a quest for self-discovery to determine what she truly desires in terms of love, sex, and money.

The stars of this Mswitch Productions and Sozo Films feature debut are Osas Ighodaro, Ramsey Nouah, Kunle Remi, and Wale Ojo. The movie Love, Lust, and Other Things will be screened in theatres on 7th July.

2. Teni’s Big Day (July 9th)

Desmond Elliot’s film Teni’s Big Day is the follow-up to Hire a Man and Hire a Woman. When her ex turns up, what was supposed to be her great day becomes problematic. The romance drama, starring Nancy Isime, IK Ogbonna, Enyinna Nwigwe, Erica Nlewedim, and Uche Montana, will be available on Prime Video on July 9th.

3. Orisa (July 21st)

Orisa is a Yoruba epic film produced and directed by Odunlade Adekola, who will also feature in the eponymous lead role. Other cast members include Femi Adebayo, Shaffy Bello, Jide Kosoko, Dele Odule, Binta Ayo Mogaji, and Muyiwa Ademola. Orisa will be in cinemas on July 21st.

4. Hotel Lambaba (July 28th)

Hotel Labamba, directed by Biodun Stephen, who has had a successful year so far, promises a hotel, a cast of varied personalities, a murder, and a mystery. She is expanding her selection of book titles with a murder mystery twist in which everyone is a suspect.

Starring in the upcoming motion picture, Hotel Labamba are Lateef Adedimeji, Bimbo Ademoye, Blessing Jessica Obasi-Nze, Bolaji Ogunmola, and Kachi Nnochiri. It covers the unexplained murder of a popular social media influencer in the titular hotel, as well as investigative efforts to solve the case.

5. Unforgivable

Unforgivable, written and directed by Elimihe Osezuah, features Mercy Isoyip, Timini Egbuson, Nancy Isime, Joseph Momodu, and Jude Orhorha. The romantic action drama will be available in theatres. Release date is currently unknown.
