Tom Holland, the actor of Spider-Man 4 would adore bringing Miles Morales into a live-action movie.
The Crowded Room star sat down with Inverse to discuss that AppleTV+ show and his potential role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
With Spidey producer Amy Pascal announcing that Miles Morales will make the transition at some point soon, Miles Morales’ live-action future has been in the press a lot lately.
Holland would certainly like to help introduce live-action to the younger Spider-Man.
During the interview, the MCU star said,
“I would be honored to bring Miles Morales into the live action world. How we do that, I don’t know, but given the opportunity, I would jump at it.”
Therefore, including Miles Morales among the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s heroes seems a foregone conclusion. Right now, though, it’s unclear what form that might take. For the role, there is no official casting.
Add to that the fact that Spider-Man 4 is currently on hold due to studio constraints and the Writers’ Strike. Holland has stated that he is inspired by what he has heard and would dearly love to return. But because Hollywood develops so quickly, it is impossible to plan for the unknowable future.
Holland is quite pleased with what Sony Pictures Animation and the creative team have accomplished with the first Miles Morales film.
Even if he appeared in a significant multiverse crossover as Spider-Man: No Way Home, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse continues to be his favourite movie about the character.
The sequel is the highest-rated film on Letterboxd, indicating that audiences generally concur with his judgement.
Holland recently told the AP last week;
“I think the first Spider-Verse movie is the best Spider-Man movie that has ever been made. I am so proud of everyone involved.”
“Amy Pascal is like my mom. I was supposed to go with her as her date. I couldn’t go because I’m here working. But I’m incredibly proud of them. I’m excited for the second one. I’m sure it will live up to every expectation, and I can’t wait to see it.”
