Bola Ahmed Tinubu in a statement to the press refuted claims that his health was deteriorating and assured Nigerians that he is “very strong”.
There were claims that Tinubu was hurried abroad for medical assistance after leaving the nation in a jet and landing in France late at night.
Despite the All Progressives Congress (APC) insistence that the president-elect just traveled to relax and recover from the stress of the election, several stakeholders have questioned his location and state of health.
On Monday, shortly after arriving in Abuja, Tinubu spoke with a few party members, underlining that he had a good and quality resting time and felt rejuvenated and ready for the task ahead of him.
Speaking to the crowd who came home to see him, the President-elect said:
“I’m happy to be back. I have rested, I’m refreshed, and healthy and I’m ready for the task ahead. Forget about what the rumor mill may have told you. I’m strong, very strong.”
