Afrobeat superstar Davido has opened up on how he met his two latest DMW artistes Morravey and
In a recent podcast, the DMW boss revealed that he came across Morravey on an Instagram reel of her cover of one of Fireboy’s song and picked interest because of her powerful singing voice.
He was so attracted to the special talent that he decided to go through the comments section, searching for her Instagram handle; he stated that there were over 400 comments and he went through over 300 of them before he could find her Instagram page.
He sent her a DM immediately, telling her he would make her a star. And she was dumbfounded, finding it difficult to believe. She requested a video call in order to verify with her own eyes that it’s truly Davido who had messaged her.
After the call, he sent her some money to freshen herself up, and also paid for her flight tickets to come to Lagos to record a track.
Also, he was blown and impressed with her songwriting skills and decided to add her to his music album ‘Timeless’.
On his meeting with Logos Olori, he revealed that he had met him through Magicsticks (Asake’s audio engineer) whom he had been coming along with to the music studio for sessions.
