The Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA) is one of the biggest nights in Nigerian entertainment, and it’s also a major fashion moment. Celebrities from all over the country come together to celebrate the best of Nollywood, and they always dress to impress.
On Saturday, May 20, the Eko Hotel hosted the 9th annual award ceremony, which honoured talents in the film industry across Africa.
The red carpet was vibrant, glamorous, and fashionable. There was plenty for everyone to admire, from elegant and sophisticated outfits to traditional Nigerian attire.
However, one outfit stood out for Cardi B at this year’s AMVCA, and it was Mercy Eke’s outfit. Sharing a photo of the reality show star, the rapper wrote “8888888” which can be loosely translated to mean “ate the outfit” or “killed it”.
Mercy Eke was styled for the event by famous stylist, Swanky Jerry. The dress, on the other hand, was made by Xtra Bride Lagos.
